Only the German version of this page is legally binding.

76137 Karlsruhe
Germany

ImaxWeb is a product of IngeniousWare GmbH.

2. General information on data processing

We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide ImaxWeb, perform contractual services, communicate with users and customers, protect our systems and develop our offering, or where consent has been given. Processing is carried out in accordance with the applicable provisions of the GDPR and German data protection law.

3. Website provision and server logs

When you access our website, technically necessary information may be processed, in particular IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. These data are used to provide the service technically and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log data are retained only for as long as necessary for these purposes or to comply with legal obligations.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

ImaxWeb may use technically necessary cookies or comparable technologies to provide essential functions, sessions, security and language settings. Where non-essential cookies or technologies are used for analytics, marketing or other optional purposes, they are used only on an appropriate legal basis and, where legally required, after your consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

5. User accounts and sign-in

When you create an ImaxWeb account or sign in, we process the data required for registration, authentication and account management. This may include your name, email address, user identifier, workspace assignments, roles, permissions and technical sign-in information. Processing is carried out to provide the service and perform the user or contractual relationship under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where necessary, on the basis of our legitimate interest in secure operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Customer, contract and payment data

When paid services are used, contact, company, contract, billing and payment information may be processed. Processing is carried out for pre-contractual measures and performance of the contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and to comply with statutory retention and documentation obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Where payment service providers are used, they receive the data required to process the payment.

7. Contact and support

If you contact us through a contact form, by email or through another communication channel, we process the information you provide and the content of your message in order to handle your request. Depending on the context, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

8. Marketing and newsletters

Where we offer newsletters or other electronic marketing communications, messages are sent on the basis of your consent or another legally permitted basis. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future, in particular through the unsubscribe link in the relevant message.

9. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to understand and improve the use, reach and performance of ImaxWeb. Google Analytics is loaded only after you consent to analytics. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, Section 25 TDDDG. You may reject optional cookies and withdraw consent with effect for the future. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses of EU users; an IP address may be processed briefly to derive coarse location information and is then discarded. Where data are transferred internationally, the safeguards described in section 12 apply.

10. Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Azure

We use Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and account access. We also use Microsoft Azure for parts of the cloud infrastructure and delivery of ImaxWeb. Data processed may include identity and account data, sign-in information, technical metadata, IP addresses, and security and log data. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Processing is carried out to provide and secure user accounts and services under Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Where Microsoft processes data outside the EEA, the applicable data-protection transfer mechanisms are used.

11. Service providers and recipients

To provide ImaxWeb, we may use carefully selected service providers, for example for cloud infrastructure, hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, analytics or support. Where these providers process personal data on our behalf, they are contractually bound in accordance with legal requirements. Data are disclosed only insofar as necessary for the relevant purpose.

12. International data transfers

Where personal data are transferred to recipients outside the European Economic Area, we ensure that the requirements of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR are met, for example through an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards or another legally permitted basis.

13. Retention periods

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant processing purpose. Data may be retained beyond this period where statutory retention obligations apply or where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Once the relevant purpose no longer applies and applicable periods have expired, the data are deleted or anonymised.

14. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have in particular the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR), data portability (Article 20 GDPR) and the right to object to certain processing (Article 21 GDPR). Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Article 7(3) GDPR.

15. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data. In particular, you may contact the data protection supervisory authority responsible for IngeniousWare GmbH in Baden-Württemberg.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ImaxWeb, the services we use or legal requirements change. The version published on this website at the relevant time applies.
